Updated

The standard

Get a job in the UK aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How it is tested

Before each release, every page is:

  • checked with the axe accessibility engine in a browser, at phone and desktop widths, in the light and dark themes;
  • read with JavaScript off.

Motion

  • Pictures can be held still with “Hold the pictures still” in the footer.
  • The site follows your device’s reduced-motion setting.

Contrast

Text on photographs sits on a measured dark scrim.

Known limitations

  • Employer logos are images with the employer’s name as their text alternative.
  • Some logos are not set as text.

Third-party pages we link to may not meet the same standard.

Report a problem

Write to desk@getajobintheuk.com, saying which page and what went wrong.

We reply within five working days.
